## Eligibility & scope

Open to leading laboratories, organisations, or collaborative projects dedicated to fighting blindness and visual impairment, primarily in developing regions, and/or developing new technologies to assist the visually impaired (odd-year focus). Candidates may span multiple disciplines or institutions. Award funds may be used without restrictions except for commercial purposes.
