Bilateral Switzerland–Croatia collaborative research projects under the Weave procedure. Swiss applicants apply to SNSF as Lead Agency (deadlines 1 April / 1 October); Croatian partners apply to HRZZ under its 'Research Projects' scheme. Projects must run for the same duration (max 48 months) and start simultaneously in both countries. Up to 3 simultaneous SNSF grants allowed if topics differ.

Bilateral Switzerland–Flanders (Belgium) collaborative project funding under the Weave framework, assigned to FWO's Junior and Senior Research Projects programme. Swiss applicants must be based at a Swiss institution; Flemish partners must be at one of the listed eligible universities/institutions. Project duration must be identical in both countries, max 48 months. Applicants may hold max 2 simultaneous SNSF project grants, one of which must be a Weave/Lead Agency project.

Bilateral Switzerland–Luxembourg Weave call under SNSF project funding. FNR participation is limited to the CORE multi-annual thematic programme. Applicants may hold max 2 simultaneous SNSF project grants, one of which must be a Weave/Lead Agency project; topics must be clearly distinct. Non-English proposals (humanities/social sciences only) require prior agency agreement.

Supports life scientists who have been group leaders for less than four years at time of application, providing networking support, training opportunities, lab member support and mentoring for four years.

Dutch co-applicants in bilateral Weave proposals submitted to DFG, FNR, or FWO under the Open Competition ENW-M framework. Eligible applicants must hold a tenured or tenure-track position at an eligible Dutch institution. Max one Dutch applicant per proposal; funds one PhD or postdoc position plus other budget modules. Proposal must fall within the Science domain. Must be in top 20% at lead agency to receive NWO funding.

Joint Swiss-Flemish research projects submitted under Weave/Lead Agency between SNSF and FWO; applicants collaborate with researchers at listed Flemish universities/institutions. Project duration must be identical in both countries and not exceed 48 months; applicants may hold max two simultaneous project funding grants, one being this scheme.

Supports future-oriented research and innovation on biodiversity and emerging ecosystems, socio-ecological dynamics, and links to the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework.

Bilateral Switzerland–South Tyrol joint project funding under the SNSF Lead Agency/Weave framework. Swiss applicants submit to SNSF; South Tyrol budget sheets (financial plan and schedule) must be completed. Project duration is identical in both countries, max 36 months. Topics must be clearly distinct from any concurrent SNSF project funding grant held by the applicant.

MSCA call (HORIZON-MSCA-2027-SE-01): HORIZON TMA MSCA Staff Exchanges

Supports group leaders establishing new laboratories in participating countries (2026 call: Croatia, Czechia, Estonia, Hungary, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Poland, Portugal, Türkiye) to strengthen life sciences there. Grantees join the EMBO Young Investigator/Installation Grantee international network.

Transnational call for international consortia of researchers and societal partners, part of Horizon Europe. SIA makes budget available per round for participation of Dutch hogescholen. Executed by the DUT partnership.

Supports transnational research and innovation projects helping cities manage urban challenges and transition to a climate-neutral and resilient future.

Interdisciplinary, knowledge-chain-wide consortia must include at least one healthcare-sector partner. Research targets participation in education and (un)paid work for people with brain/mental disorders, including those with lower SEP or migration background. Dutch knowledge institutions and societal stakeholders must jointly formulate research questions. Phase III overarching proposal remains open; phase II is closed.
