1. About the service

The Great Grantsby ("we", "us", "the service") is an EU grant monitoring platform operated from the Netherlands. We aggregate and curate funding opportunities from public sources and deliver personalised digests to academic researchers and research labs.

By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Early access and beta programme

The service is currently in an early access / beta phase. This means:

• Features, pricing, and availability may change without notice.
• The service may be interrupted for maintenance or improvement at any time.
• We may limit or revoke access during the beta period at our discretion.
• Beta access does not guarantee access to the commercial product or any specific pricing tier.

We will communicate significant changes by email to registered users wherever possible.

3. Accounts

Creating an account is free and gives you access to the Starter plan. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or are used in ways that compromise the service for other users.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable regulations.
• Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or extract data from the service at scale.
• Share your account credentials or access with third parties.
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information in any form.
• Interfere with the security, integrity, or availability of the service.

5. Intellectual property

All content, design, code, and branding on this website and in the service — including the name "The Great Grantsby", the digest format, and the matching methodology — is the intellectual property of The Great Grantsby and may not be reproduced without permission.

Grant data sourced from public funders remains the property of those funders. We curate and present it; we do not claim ownership over the underlying grant information.

6. No warranty

The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that:

• Grant information is complete, accurate, or up to date.
• The service will be available without interruption.
• Any particular grant will match your eligibility criteria.
• Using the service will result in a successful grant application.

Grant eligibility and application requirements are ultimately determined by the funder. Always verify information directly with the funding body before submitting an application.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Dutch law, The Great Grantsby is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — the service. This includes missed grant deadlines, unsuccessful applications, or reliance on inaccurate information.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €50 — whichever is greater.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Amsterdam, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. We will notify registered users of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
