Eligibility & scope
Funds research on replacement, reduction, or refinement of animal testing (3Rs). Submitted under FWF Principal Investigator Projects rules; no restriction on number of concurrent projects. €600,000 provided by BMFWF per cycle; FWF covers any shortfall. Applications via elane portal; proposals must be in German or English per FWF PI Projects guidelines.
