Eligibility & scope
Investigator-led biotechnology and biological research (plants, microbes, animals, humans, tools/technology). Applicants must be UK-resident ≥183 days/year and hold a lecturer-equivalent post at a UK HEI, research council institute, or UKRI-approved independent research organisation. BBSRC funds 80% of full economic costs; host organisation must cover the balance. Proposals must be submitted in English via UKRI Funding Service.
