SNSF Postdoc.Mobility funds researchers with a strong link to Switzerland (Swiss degree or research at a Swiss institution) to do a postdoc abroad, with an optional funded return phase to Switzerland. Outgoing-mobility scheme.

For researchers with a completed doctorate (or within 6 months of defence) wishing to conduct a research stay abroad. Applicants must be Swiss nationals, hold a Swiss C-permit, or be married/partnered to a Swiss national; OR hold a Swiss doctorate/state exam and have had no prior postdoctoral position abroad. Host institution must be outside Switzerland. Subsistence grant, travel flat-rate, and optional research/conference costs included.

Candidates must be nominated by a Danish university (quota-based); only nominated candidates are considered. Research focus must be within natural and technical sciences, interdisciplinarity, biotechnology, or sustainability. Available for researchers going abroad from Denmark or international researchers coming to Denmark.

Open to UK-registered companies under 5 years old, majority founder/employee-owned, with prior BBSRC/UKRI grant or commercialisation support. Technology must be biological in nature or interact with a biological entity/process. Medical/clinical devices and therapeutics developed solely for a specific clinical end-point (including diagnostics) are excluded. Provides R&D funding, innovation voucher, business support, and access to UKRI campuses.

Open to organisation applicants only (not individual researchers). Funds doctoral programmes in research on crime within humanities and social sciences.

Nomination-based prize for an outstanding active scientist affiliated with a Danish non-profit research institution who has made transformative contributions to basic bioscience or biomedicine. Comprises a DKK 1.25M research grant, DKK 250k personal award, and up to DKK 200k for a prize symposium at the recipient's host institution.

Three non-targeted major grants of €600k each for biological, clinical, epidemiological and psychosocial cancer research conducted in Finland. Grants will not be awarded to researchers funded by the tobacco industry. Results announced December 2026.

Annual autumn call for major grants, research grants, and doctoral dissertation grants in cancer research. Awarded by the Board of the Cancer Foundation Finland. Includes dissertation (doctoral) grants making it relevant for early-career researchers as well. Finnish institution affiliation expected; largest private cancer research funder in Finland.

Research grants for 1–3 years for scientific cancer research in Finland; longer periods prioritised. Also available to newly established research groups whose leader has completed a successful postdoctoral period. No grants to tobacco-industry-funded researchers.

Joint Transnational Call (JTC) 2026 — joint transnational call by the BE READY NOW European Partnership, listed on the ERA-LEARN joint-call calendar. Funded by national/regional agencies in participating countries; requires a transnational consortium. See the call page for participating funders.

European partnership call focused on pandemic preparedness, building a coordinated research and innovation ecosystem to anticipate, prevent, and respond to infectious disease threats. Transnational consortium required per EU partnership rules.

Joint NNF/Lundbeck Foundation call for interdisciplinary projects on body-brain interactions (cardiometabolic diseases and nervous system disorders). Proposals must bridge neuroscientific and cardiometabolic research fields. Applicants must be independent researchers; salary for applicants not fundable. No overhead/indirect costs (except up to 5% for non-university Danish institutions). No commercial activities or industry-sponsored drug trials. Open to research leaders (junior/non-tenured, mid-career, established) at institutions in Nordic countries including Denmark. Focus on plant science, agriculture, food biotechnology, and biotechnology-based synthesis and production.

Open to non-profit organisations and public institutions in Denmark, Greenland, and the Faroe Islands. Research institutions may be co-applicants but not lead applicants. Projects must integrate health promotion into social initiatives for vulnerable children aged 0–10. Cross-sectoral collaboration between health and social sectors required. Proposals in Danish or English; Greenlandic/Faroese not accepted. Project start between 1 Jan–31 Dec 2027.

European Partnership for a sustainable Future of Food Systems (FutureFoodS) transnational call. Research consortia must comprise a minimum of three partners from different countries. Norway is a partner country.

Supports hybrid quantum-classical computing R&D aligned with UK National Quantum Strategy Mission 1. Lead research organisation must be UK-based; project partners (industry, academia, government, third sector) may be UK or overseas. Named partners expected to provide financial or in-kind leverage. No matched funding requirement beyond standard 20% FEC. Latest project start date 1 February 2027.

Joint call by Novo Nordisk Foundation and Lundbeck Foundation for Research Leaders (Established/Prof.) targeting bioscience, basic biomedicine, clinical and translational medicine. Focuses on research into brain-periphery interactions in health and disease. Applications submitted via Lundbeck Foundation nomination portal.

BE READY partnership call on pandemic preparedness; €850,000 available for Norwegian researchers participating in European research collaboration. Applications must be submitted via the partnership's own platform.

Belmont Forum CRA call on ocean knowledge and international transdisciplinary research addressing global environmental challenges. NOK 27 million available for Norwegian research organisations. International consortium required.

Part of SNSF Project Funding (Weave/Lead Agency). South African partner must be affiliated with a recognised public higher education or research institution in South Africa. Proposals must be submitted in English. Max 2 simultaneous project funding grants per applicant; at most one may be a Weave/Lead Agency project. Project must start on the same date in both countries; max duration 36 months.

DFG funding for Ukrainian researchers as part of expanded refugee researcher support. Covers living expenses up to €1,000/month per Ukrainian project leader and allows supplemental proposals to include Ukrainian partners in existing German or German-Ukrainian projects. Requires confirmation from Ukrainian university of limited or no salary payment. Open to proposals received up to 31 August 2026.

DFG funds the Ukrainian share of bilateral German-Ukrainian research projects under Cooperation with Developing Countries.
