Eligibility & scope
Funds purchase of a single piece of capital biomedical research equipment costing over £200k (incl. VAT), 100% FEC funded. UK-based researchers or research technical professionals at eligible organisations only; principal beneficiaries must be in the UK (exception: eligible MRC units in Africa). Max 2 applications per organisation; project lead limited to one application per round. Excludes generic computing platforms, normal lab equipment, buildings, and very large facilities.
