Eligibility & scope
Open to academics at eligible UKRI research organisations holding a doctorate or equivalent, applying for one of 50 specific fellowship positions embedded in UK/devolved government, arm's length bodies, or What Works Network hosts. Core and Natural Hazards fellowships target early-to-mid-career researchers; What Works Innovation fellowships are open to all career stages. Requires right to work in the UK by 1 May 2027; security/nationality checks may apply per position.
