Eligibility & scope
Open to UK research organisations for investigator-led biotechnology and biological research (plants, microbes, animals, humans, tools/technology). BBSRC funds 80% of FEC up to £1.6M; host institution covers 20%. International partners may be included but are funded by their own agency. Proposals must fall primarily within BBSRC's remit. No matched funding beyond standard 20% FEC required.
