Eligibility & scope
Supports problem-oriented strategic basic research with prospects for economic or societal applications, conducted by teams at Flemish research institutions (universities, university colleges, strategic research centres). Supervisors at Flemish universities must hold a ZAP appointment; non-university applicants need an equivalent R4-level role with a doctoral degree. Projects must engage an advisory committee of relevant stakeholders (except spin-off-oriented projects).
