Eligibility & scope
Interdisciplinary research into gambling and gambling-like features in video games (e.g. loot boxes, esports betting, social casinos). Open to UK research organisations with standard UKRI eligibility; international researchers may join as project co-leads (international). Gambling industry licence holders subject to the statutory levy are excluded from hosting or co-funding awards. Projects must start by 1 January 2027.
