Eligibility & scope
Open to researchers at UK HEIs, research council institutes, approved independent research organisations, and public sector research establishments. Applicants must be UK-resident ≥183 days/year and hold a lecturer-level or equivalent post. BBSRC funds 80% of full economic costs; host organisation must cover the balance. Covers biotechnology and biological sciences research across plants, microbes, animals, humans, and underpinning tools/technology.
