Bilateral project funding under the Weave/Lead Agency procedure between SNSF (Switzerland) and ARIS (Slovenia). Swiss applicants must be hosted at Swiss research institutions. Max 48 months if SNSF is Lead Agency; 36 months if ARIS is Lead Agency. Applicants may hold max two simultaneous SNSF project grants, one of which must be a Weave/Lead Agency project. Topics of concurrent grants must be clearly distinct.

Supports international collaborative research projects between Swiss researchers and partners in countries with bilateral/multilateral agreements (Weave: Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Luxembourg, Poland, Slovenia, Sweden; Lead Agency: France, Israel, São Paulo, South Africa, South Tyrol, USA; ICIS: Denmark, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, UK). Career development grant for early-career researchers seeking to plan, carry out and lead an independent research project at a Swiss research institution. Requires full-time employment (min. 0.8 FTE for family care reasons). Note: Ambizione will be replaced by a new scheme launching in 2028; this is among the final calls.

Grant for researchers taking their first step towards scientific independence, enabling them to carry out, manage and lead an independently planned research project at a Swiss institution. Targets early-career researchers seeking to establish their own research direction.

Supports life scientists who have been independent group leaders for less than 4 years at time of application. Provides financial support for networking, training, lab member support, and mentoring for 4 years. Open to researchers in Europe and beyond (EMBC member states and associated countries).

For female researchers (doctoral or postdoctoral level) employed in SNSF-funded projects or career funding schemes, with ≥60% work-time funded by SNSF (doctoral students exempt from this threshold). Funds mentoring, coaching, courses, workshops, and networking events. Not applicable to Eccellenza or SNSF Starting Grant beneficiaries. For postdoctoral researchers seeking to conduct, lead and teach an independent research project at a Swiss research institution. Applicants must be at least 1 year post-PhD (measured from thesis defence), meet an 80% work-time requirement, and demonstrate mobility. Max 2 applications allowed. Host institution must be in Switzerland.

Arts and humanities large-scale team-based research grants for UK institutions. Applicants must use a 'team convening' approach with distributed leadership. Outline stage assessed via distributed peer review (Oct 2026); up to 15 teams invited to full stage. Proposals must be submitted in English through UKRI Funding Service. Nominated reviewers must be available throughout October 2026.
