Supports innovative investigations at the intersection of laboratory discovery and clinical application in cancer immunology, accelerating translation of immunological discoveries into cancer therapies. Requires integration of clinical and laboratory components.

Supports pioneering immunotherapy clinical trials designed and led by academic researchers. Requires a clinical trial focus; applicants must be academic investigators leading immunotherapy trials.

Open to tenure-track assistant professors or higher at non-profit medical schools and research centers worldwide (US or abroad); no citizenship restrictions. Funds translational cancer immunology research bridging lab discovery and clinical application. For-profit institutions are ineligible. A chordoma-focused sub-track is co-funded with the Chordoma Foundation.

Funds investigator-initiated phase I/II or phase II immunotherapy clinical trials led by academic PIs. Open to researchers at medical schools or research centers in the US or abroad; no citizenship restrictions; for-profit institutions ineligible. Emphasis on novel immunotherapy, mechanistic insights, and biomarker discovery. Up to 10% indirect costs provided in addition to award. Co-funding available for chordoma-focused proposals (with Chordoma Foundation).

Third call of SPP 2520 (2026–2031); funds participation in expeditions on German research vessels (RV MARIA S. MERIAN, METEOR, SONNE, POLARSTERN, ALKOR, HEINCKE, ELISABETH MANN BORGESE) and initial sample/data analysis. Open to researchers at German universities, universities of applied sciences, and research institutions. Proposals must be in English. Five thematic areas: climate, biogeochemical cycles, ocean-lithosphere dynamics, biosphere interactions, and new technologies.

UK-based investigators at universities, medical schools, hospitals, UKCRC registered CTUs or research institutions. Investigator-led clinical trials and associated translational/experimental medicine research in cancer. All applications must have a UKCRC registered CTU coordinating the trial/study. Industry-sponsored trials ineligible. Proposals must be submitted in English via Flexi-Grant.

Juan de la Cierva is the AEI flagship early-career postdoctoral contract (3 years) at a Spanish R&D centre. Mobility rule: must join a centre different from where the predoctoral training was done. (Formación + Incorporación variants were merged into one scheme.)

UK-based organisations only (non-UK applicants ineligible). Projects must enhance existing ESRC social science data service infrastructures (no new services). Focus on improving data discovery, access to sensitive data, technology-enabled pipelines (incl. AI), and upskilling data service staff. Must include an upskilling work package. Business/third sector/government co-leads permitted but cannot lead projects.

Full, associate and assistant professors, other researchers with a doctorate, postdocs and PhD candidates with an appointment for the duration of the meeting can apply for support for scientific meetings and consultations.

Funds academic-led clinical trials (Phase I–III) for new investigational medicinal products (originator drugs) addressing unmet cancer needs. Lead institute must be a Dutch medical centre or research institute. Patient involvement is mandatory. Repurposing of registered drugs and purely preclinical research are out of scope. Proposals must be submitted in English via KWF GMS.

Research grants on gambling harms, co-funded with DCMS (applications shared with DCMS for assessment). UK institutions eligible; standard 20% FEC applies; no matched funding requirement beyond FEC. Applicants must be researchers at these institutions. Covers product, process, care, or service innovation across all scientific fields.

Ramón y Cajal is Spain's flagship 5-year tenure-track fellowship for postdoctoral researchers with an outstanding trajectory; host must be a Spanish R&D centre.

Open to researchers with a tenured or tenure-track position at Dutch universities, UMCs, KNAW/NWO institutes, Netherlands Cancer Institute, Max Planck Institute Nijmegen, Naturalis, ARCNL, or Princess Máxima Center. Co-funding required (min. 25%) if total project costs exceed €700k. Not intended for clinical trials, contract research, or investment-dominated proposals. Candidates may span multiple disciplines or institutions. Award funds may be used without restrictions except for commercial purposes.
