Pilot phase instrument allowing the French coordinator of an ANR PRCI project (from two years before end of project until one year after) to request MRSEI-type support, automatically granted under current instrument conditions. Supports European project preparation.

2026 call restricted to humanities and social sciences (SHS) disciplines only. ANR funds a 2-year postdoctoral contract (July 2026–August 2028) to prepare a competitive ERC Starting Grant 2028 application (October 2027). Host institution must be in France. Proposals submitted in French.

Funds collaborative projects between French labs/public partners and companies. In 2026, PRCEs have direct access to stage 2, reducing time to contracting to under 6 months. ANR aid rate for SMEs increased to 60%. Partners must be French entities.

ANR Tremplin-ERC programme to support French researchers preparing high-level ERC Consolidator Grant applications. Open to all disciplines (LS, PE, SH per ERC categories). Applicants must be hosted at a French institution. Aims to increase France's ERC success rate.

New pilot in 2026 for PRCI project coordinators: French coordinator (or a French partner) of an ANR PRCI project can request MRSEI-type support automatically granted from 2 years before to 1 year after project end. Supports European consortium building.

New 2026 initiative providing dedicated financial support to leaders of ANR JCJC projects, available from 2 years before to 1 year after project end, conditional on submission to the next ERC call session. Applicant must be a current or recent ANR JCJC project leader based in France.

Post-doctoral contract (24 months, July 2026–August 2028) for researchers in humanities and social sciences (SHS only), aimed at preparing a competitive ERC Starting Grant 2028 application (submission October 2027). Host institution must be in France. ANR provides rapid selection, funding setup, and coaching support.
