International collaboration grant: Dutch main applicant (tenured/tenure-track at eligible NL institution) with co-applicant(s) from Germany, Luxembourg, or Flanders. NWO acts as lead agency. Personal data shared between funding agencies. Proposals in English via Isaac.

Part of Open Competition ENW-M. Dutch co-applicant (tenured or tenure-track at eligible NL institution) submits administrative submission to NWO when a Weave bilateral proposal is led by DFG, FNR, or FWO. Max one Dutch applicant per proposal; max €400k for the Dutch part funding one temporary scientific position (PhD or postdoc) plus other budget modules. Proposals must be in English. Must rank in top 20% at lead agency to be eligible for NWO allocation.

Curiosity-driven basic research in earth sciences, astronomy, chemistry, computer science, life sciences, physics or mathematics. Single main applicant with tenured or tenure-track position at an eligible Dutch research organisation. Proposals must be submitted in English via Isaac. One ENW-M proposal per applicant per 12 months.

Dutch co-applicant (tenured or tenure-track at eligible NL institution) joins a bilateral Weave proposal submitted to DFG. NWO acts as partner agency; DFG handles scientific evaluation. Max one Dutch applicant; up to €400k for one temporary position (postdoc; PhD not possible with DFG) plus other budget modules. Proposals must be in English. One ENW-M submission per applicant per 12 months.

NWO/ZonMw Rubicon funds researchers who obtained their PhD in the Netherlands to gain international experience at a research institution abroad. Outgoing-mobility scheme: applicant origin is NL, host institution is outside NL.

For senior researchers (Science Domain) to build their own innovative line of research and develop into a research group leader. Applicants must be affiliated with a Dutch knowledge institution.

Open to consortia addressing 'wicked problems' based on NWA-route themes and cluster questions, spanning the full knowledge chain (fundamental to practice-oriented research) with societal partners including citizens. Main applicant must have participated in both collaborative workshops for the relevant theme. Proposals assessed on problem definition, impact, consortium quality, and research quality.

Joint NWO–FAPESP call for interdisciplinary research on replacing fossil raw materials with circular biomass-derived materials in the chemical industry. Dutch main applicant must be at a research organisation in the Netherlands; São Paulo applicant must confirm eligibility with FAPESP. Mandatory 30% co-funding from a private company. Research must cover multiple perspectives (chemical engineering, economics, sustainability, social, legal).

Full, associate and assistant professors, other researchers with a doctorate, postdocs and PhD candidates with an appointment for the duration of the meeting can apply for support for scientific meetings and consultations.

Open to researchers at Dutch universities, university medical centers, KNAW/NWO institutes, Netherlands Cancer Institute, Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics (Nijmegen), NCB Naturalis, ARCNL, and Princess Máxima Center. Funds feasibility studies for commercial application of innovative knowledge. Submitted via ISAAC. All scientific fields eligible.

Open to researchers with a tenured or tenure-track position at Dutch universities, UMCs, KNAW/NWO institutes, Netherlands Cancer Institute, Max Planck Institute Nijmegen, Naturalis, ARCNL, or Princess Máxima Center. Co-funding required (min. 25%) if total project costs exceed €700k. Not intended for clinical trials, contract research, or investment-dominated proposals. User committee of ≥4 knowledge users required.

Top-up call exclusively for project leads of current or completed projects funded under three prior KIC Mission calls (2020, 2021, 2022). Funds connection, synthesis and knowledge utilisation activities that are distinct from already-planned project activities. Dutch knowledge institutions; proposals submitted via NWO's ISAAC system.

Interdisciplinary, knowledge-chain-wide consortia must include at least one healthcare-sector partner. Research targets participation in education and (un)paid work for people with brain/mental disorders, including those with lower SEP or migration background. Dutch knowledge institutions and societal stakeholders must jointly formulate research questions. Phase III overarching proposal remains open; phase II is closed.

Open to universities of applied sciences (hogescholen) in the Netherlands. Funds Professional Doctorate (PD) candidates; max €258,000 for labour cost allowance and max €13,400 for travel and study costs per application.

Transnational call under the Clean Energy Transition Partnership (CETP). NWO funding is available for researchers based in the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Three call modules expected: integrated energy system resilience (CM2026-01), heating and cooling technologies (CM2026-07), and integrated regional energy systems (CM2026-08). Final participation and national requirements confirmed at call launch.

Supports professional development of lecturers/researchers at Dutch Universities of Applied Sciences (hogescholen) in their roles as researchers, change agents, innovators and/or professionals. Covers Astronomy, Chemistry, Computer Science, Earth Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematics, Physics. Dutch PI leads submission to NWO; German PI submits copy to DFG within 7 days. Max 36 months. Both sides must meet their respective national eligibility rules.
