Challenge Programme 2027 call focused on developing next-generation AMR diagnostics for lower respiratory tract infections; targets established research leaders forming international consortia within Danish/European research ecosystems.

Funds consortia of leading researchers to develop next-generation AMR diagnostics for lower respiratory tract infections, targeting research leaders (established/professor level) within Danish and European research ecosystems. International location; research area focus is infectious diseases.

Supports clinical research on lung, bowel, breast or prostate cancer conducted by comprehensive cancer infrastructures across EU Member States and Associated Countries. Covers innovative diagnostics, radiotherapy/surgery/chemotherapy, therapeutic cancer vaccines, and guideline implementation. Requires multi-stakeholder consortia, patient co-design, sex/gender-disaggregated data, and open science compliance via UNCAN.eu. Successful projects join the EU Cancer Mission 'Diagnosis and Treatment' cluster.

SNSF participates in co-funded European Partnerships (Biodiversa+, BrainHealth, Clean Energy Transition, Driving Urban Transitions, ERDERA, Forest Partnership, OHAMR, Raw Materials, Water4All, THCS, STR). Swiss researchers apply via national annexes of individual calls; SNSF Project funding rules apply. Proposals must be submitted as part of transnational consortia.

Supports early-stage proof-of-concept research for rapid, minimally invasive point-of-care diagnostics for antibiotic-resistant lower respiratory tract infections. Main applicant must be an independent tenured/tenure-track researcher at a European (EU, Schengen plus UK) university, hospital or non-profit; at least one applicant must be based in Denmark; for-profit product development is out of scope.

Funding for clinical and translational medical research; DKK 13.5 million earmarked for a strategic focused theme on interactions between infectious diseases and cardiometabolic diseases. Applicants targeting this theme must tick the relevant box in the application.

Supports biomedical and health research (basic, clinical, translational) in neuroscience, oncology, cardiovascular/metabolic disease, infectious diseases, and enabling technologies. Host Organization must be a non-profit research organization based in Spain or Portugal. Applications must be submitted in English. Budget of non-Spanish/Portuguese organizations may not exceed 30% of total project budget.

Supports clinical and translational medical research projects. A strategic focused theme earmarks DKK 13.5M for research on interactions between infectious diseases (ID) and cardiometabolic diseases (CMD); applicants must tick the 'IDs and CMDs' box in the application. Yearly budget capped at DKK 1,500,000. Applications submitted via the foundation's electronic system.

Funds Irish researchers in transnational One Health AMR research (OH-TREAT call: treatments and adherence to treatment protocols). HRB funds only Human Health settings under Topic 2; DAFM covers Animal/Plant/Environment (Topic 3); Research Ireland funds all topics. Applicants must hold posts at HRB-recognised institutions in Republic of Ireland; Northern Ireland institutions must apply via UKRI. Proposals in English. PhD stipends and tenured academic staff salaries ineligible.

Funds data-driven research in children and young people's cancers. Lead applicant must be based at a UK host institution (AMRC full economic costing required for UK funding). Requires a data sharing plan aligned with FAIR principles and UK GDPR. Industry collaboration encouraged; letter of support required from commercial partners. Applications including AI/ML must provide additional methodological justification.

HRB funds Republic of Ireland applicants only (Northern Ireland must apply via UKRI) under Topic 2 Human Health. Transnational consortium required. Proposals in English. No PhD stipends or tenured academic staff salaries covered. Tobacco/alcohol industry applicants ineligible. Pre-clinical research (animal models, human samples) permitted. Each applicant may submit max 2 proposals, coordinate only 1.

One Health Antimicrobial Resistance (OHAMR) partnership call for new treatments to tackle AMR. Swiss researchers apply via SNSF under the same requirements as SNSF Project funding. Detailed submission info in the national annex of the call. Successor to JPI AMR.
